Bricks and Mint Limited is looking for a meticulous and experienced Accounting Officer to manage our financial transactions and records. Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor company bank accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
  • Ensure strict compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations (GRA, SSNIT, etc.).
  • Manage the payroll processing system and ensure timely submission of all statutory payments.
  • Maintain an organized and systematic digital and physical filing system for all financial documents.
  • Assist with the coordination of internal and external audit processes.


Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., ICA Ghana, ACCA, CIMA) Level 2 or above is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS) and financial reporting.
  • High proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs).
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Timeliness and accuracy of monthly financial reporting.
  • Zero discrepancies in bank reconciliations.
  • 100% compliance with tax and other statutory filing deadlines.
  • Reduction in aged debtors and improvement in cash flow collection.
