Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Prepare, verify, and reconcile financial statements and reports on a regular basis.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and journals.
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support management decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and expenses.
- Handle vendor communications and build positive relationships to optimize financial processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings, financial audits, and other compliance requirements.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
- Proven work experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role within a print or related industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration within a team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information.
