Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and prospect new clients through networking, cold outreach, industry events, and digital channels.
- Qualify leads and assess customer requirements to determine solution fit.
- Deliver persuasive sales presentations, demos, and proposals tailored to business and technical stakeholders.
- Prepare and negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements in line with company policies.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets, KPIs, and revenue goals.
Technical Expertise & Solution Design
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s technical products, features, integrations, and use cases.(Electronic gadgets - cctv cameras, chandeliers, etc)
- Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer workflows, infrastructure, and constraints.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to design accurate and feasible solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation such as system configurations, product specifications, and deployment plans.
- Demonstrate product functionality through live demos, prototypes, or proof-of-concept trials.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with decision- makers, engineers, and procurement teams.
- Provide ongoing account management to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical queries during the pre- and post-sales process.
- Conduct regular follow-ups, account reviews, and upsell/cross-sell activities.
Market & Product Intelligence
- Conduct competitive analysis to understand market trends, competitor offerings, and unique value propositions.
- Identify new market opportunities and provide feedback to product and marketing teams.
- Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and webinars to promote brand presence.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with marketing to align on lead generation initiatives, campaigns, and product positioning.
- Collaborate with project and service delivery teams to ensure smooth handoff after closing sales.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide weekly/monthly sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
- Share customer insights to help refine product strategy and improve offerings.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related technical field (preferred).
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in technical sales, solution sales, or pre-sales engineering.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience selling complex technical products or services (software, hardware, industrial equipment, SaaS, ICT, etc.).
Skills
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
- Strong problem-solving and consultative selling abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.).
- Ability to travel as required.
