Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join our construction team. The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are executed in accordance with plans and specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project goals, specifications, and timelines.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, setting out and building from foundation to finishing
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure they align with project plans and meet quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify any issues or deviations from plans.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures on-site.
- Ensure that workmanship and materials meet the required standards and specifications.
- Conduct inspections and tests as necessary to verify compliance.
- Enforce and promote a culture of safety on the construction site.
- Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure that all workers adhere to safety regulations and protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and inspection records.
- Report project status, challenges, and resolutions to project managers regularly.
- Identify and address issues that may arise during construction, proposing effective and practical solutions.
- Collaborate with the project team to resolve technical challenges and ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- HND, Degree, Masters in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer in construction projects.
- A good knowledge of road construction is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in using construction management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
