Responsible for the development, administration and support of business application to enhance the productivity, effectiveness and achieve optimal levels of operational efficiency of SBU/SUs within all groups in the organization.

Responsibilities
Strategy
- Plans, coordinates and monitors the progress of development projects to ensure their ongoing alignment with business goals
- Serves as a liaison to IT project stakeholders, reporting on the status of current projects, identifying issues and assessing their impact, and proactively recommending solutions.
- Analyzes business application requirements, develops and implement automated systems to meet them
Operations
- Gathers data and analyzes business and user needs in consultation with both business managers and end-users
- Executes and delivers projects within time and other resource constraints
- Coordinates work with web designers and other technical specialists for the implementation of software platforms
- Codes, tests, installs and debugs programs according to computer engineering and best practice specifications
- Understands customer needs, develops and maintains excellent relationship
- Backs up application platforms for disaster recovery purposes
- Identifies and facilitates issue resolution with functional and technical groups
- Ensures quality and continuous improvement of implemented solutions
- Modifies, expands and updates applications based on version control
- Tests, evaluates and monitor the performance of software platforms
- Develops and executes software test plans
- Conducts technical and end-user training on implemented solutions
- Documents application development processes, specifications, design, features, test results and operation of applications
- Writes and edits user manuals and other technical documents
- Provides IT support for regulatory and compliance activities
- Assists with project planning and requirement specifications
- • Administers website and web hosting
Minimum Qualifications
- A good first degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or any similar discipline. Relevant Masters’ degree will be an advantage
Professional Membership:
- IT and other professional qualification will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in software development and system analysis.
Competency and Skill Requirements
- Solid background in applications programming and experience leading a technical team.
- Excellent Administrative skills
- Good documentation and process management skills
- Project Management
- Specific experience and knowledge in languages and frameworks such as C#/C++, HTML, Java/Java Enterprise Edition, Microsoft.NET, AJAX and SQL Server.
- Good Oral & Written communication skills and be able to work independently and as part of a development team.
