Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Fault Resolution
- Diagnose and resolve fibre network faults, including signal loss and connectivity issues.
- Perform fibre splicing and restoration using fusion splicers.
- Conduct OTDR testing to identify faults, breaks, and performance degradation.
- Repair damaged fibre lines and restore services within defined timelines.
- Carry out routine and corrective maintenance on fibre infrastructure.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Verify signal levels and network performance after repairs.
- Ensure all maintenance work meets technical and safety standards.
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete detailed fault, maintenance, and repair reports.
- Capture required photos, test results, and equipment data.
- Follow safety procedures, industry standards, and operational guidelines.
Collaboration & Escalation
- Work closely with installation teams and network engineers.
- Escalate complex or recurring faults as required.
Qualifications &Requirements
- SHS with CFOT certification, or BSc in Telecom Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fibre maintenance or fault resolution preferred.
- Hands-on FTTH maintenance experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of FTTH network architecture.
- Competence with fusion splicers, OTDRs, power meters, and VFLs.
- Comfortable working at heights, in handholes, and roadside environments.
