Job Summary
To maintain the integrity and safe performance of mechanical systems (pumps, compressors, tanks, valves, and pipelines) at the LPG tank farm in Ghana. Ensures compliance with EPA Ghana, Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), and Department of Factories Inspectorate regulations.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance
- Schedule regular servicing for compressors, pumps, storage tanks, pipelines, and valves.
- Inspect welds, flanges, and hoses for leaks to comply with LPG HSSE standards in Ghana.
Corrective Maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair pumps, compressors, and pipelines.
- Replace worn parts with approved, compliant materials.
Equipment Monitoring & Safety
- Monitor pressure vessels, relief valves, and tank integrity to meet GSA requirements.
- Maintain performance logs for internal and regulatory audits.
Reporting & Supervision
- Submit maintenance reports for internal use and to support compliance audits.
- Supervise mechanical contractors/vendors, ensuring adherence to Ghana’s safety codes.
Others:
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports on depot equipment to Management/Stakeholders
- To superintend over depot mechanical/panel setup, cooling system, pumps, tanks, piping and ancillaries, metering systems, power generator and general facility works. Hands-on ability in maintaining/resolving technical issues is key.
- Carry out work appraisal, costing, vendor nomination, approval justification, supervision of work execution as per approved quality and volume. Carry out daily/weekly/monthly/bi-annual/annual equipment inspection and ensure overall equipment breakdown maintenance cost reduction through an effective in-house/outsourced preventive maintenance practice.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to support delivery of company business goals.
Minimum Qualification/ Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 3–5 years in mechanical maintenance for LPG/Oil & Gas.
- Certifications: Certification in Welding/Fabrication, Pressure Vessel Inspection (per Ghana Factories Inspectorate), HSE is an advantage.
Knowledge / Skills:
- Strong understanding of mechanical, especially as they relate to LPG tank farms.
- Hands-on experience with pumps, compressors, pipelines, valves, and gas storage systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance in the oil & gas industry.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with maintenance management software and basic IT tools.

- Demonstrate ability to work under pressure to deliver with team and alone.
- Must have good communication/interpersonal skills, and the right attitude to work.
- Must be teachable and show adaptability to new technologies/procedures.

- Attentive to details, a good sense of judgement and must be hands-on in addition to theoretical knowledge
