Shop Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the shop and back office (pack house is cleaned and tidied every morning. All wastages have to be discarded after appropriate procedures).
• Ensure shelves, bins and all merchandizing equipment cleaned and produced culled in an optimized way bearing in mind cost implications and also customer satisfaction.
• Ensure the till (Checkout counter is properly managed) is kept tidy, all devices are in perfect working condition every day and is properly manned by the appropriate person.
• Ensure accurate closing of tills without shortages etc.
• Ensure all items in the store have correct price labels which match with the prices in the system and advice Manager immediately about any wrong pricing either on the shelf or in the system.
• Ensure all unit selling items are barcoded at all times.
• Ensure the store is cleaned up, all shelves neatly cleaned before opening every day.
• Ensure all damaged stock is taken out of the shelves and out of the store timely and dully recorded.
• Ensure all chillers are working at the correct temperatures at opening and closing and in between.
• Ensure every stock received into the store is checked to ensure quantity and quality are ok as per invoice and recorded in the receiving books.
• Responsible for keeping the back door locked at all times and opened only when stock is being received.
• Endeavor to speak to every customer who enters the shop and assist them in buying.
• Embark on active sales outside the shop to get people in the shop and to buy.
• Embark on promotional activities like tasting sections and sampling to create awareness about products
• Location Kumasi - Asokwa 

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: Senior High School certificate.
• Must have extensive product knowledge on uses of products and their preparations.
• Must have excellence communication and engage all customers effectively to build customer loyalty.

Salary Range: Ghc 800-1200
