SENIOR IT SYSTEMS & INFRASTRUCTURE SPECIALIST

Key Responsibilities:

• Design the computing infrastructure to accomplish key tasks, establishing networking rules and troubleshooting basic network errors or other technical issues.
• Work with stakeholders to deploy and maintain applications, including hardening and vulnerability remediation
• Lead and direct to prepare governing principles to guide decision making pertinent to infrastructure architecture.
• Develop implementation plan for infrastructure architecture on basis of IT strategies and business requirements.
• Ensure optimal governance structure and comply with activities related to infrastructure architecture adherence.
• Enforce infrastructure architecture execution as well as ongoing refinement tasks.
• Stimulate evaluation plus selection of entire infrastructure architecture standards commensurate with clients IT business needs.
• Consult project teams to fit infrastructure architecture assignments and identify need to modify infrastructure architecture to attain project requirements.
• Consult with project teams of infrastructure development to fit entire architecture infrastructure.
• Recommend improvements or alternative technologies to better meet business needs
• Evaluate technology, market trends and industry plus identify prospective impact on business.
• Identify need to change technical architecture to incorporate infrastructure needs.
• Identify enterprise requirements for structures and resources modifications required to support infrastructure architecture.
• Ensure documentation of entire architecture design and evaluation work.
• Design, review and integrate new systems
• Guide in the execution of Incident, Change, Release, Problem, Performance and Availability Management
• Evaluate Systems Requirements
  
• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot core business applications, including application servers, associated hardware, endpoints, and databases
• Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements
• Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow
• Translate highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements
• Manage the set-up and configuration of systems
• Define and coordinate the execution of testing procedures, and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process
• Create and update documentation of all processes and training as needed
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures, monitor systems health, gather system statistics, and troubleshoot reported errors and alarms
• Perform design, implementation, and upgrades of information systems to meet the business and user needs
• Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance

Skills and Abilities. 

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience or relevant education.
• Strong technical knowledge of hardware and software, and strong troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, project management, and governance skills
• Hypervisors like VMware vShpere, Microsoft Hyper-V or Citirx Hypervisor experience
• HCI such as Dell/EMC VxRail, or VMware vSAN experience
• Configuration of LDAP solutions like Microsoft Active Directory experience
• Certifications in MSCE, CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+, Dell infrastructure, VMware, AWS, Azure, or others a plus
• Network experience (eg. TCP/IP)
