Job summary
The Sales & Marketing Manager exists to move the company beyond individual selling into a structured, repeatable, and scalable sales organization. This role is responsible for building and leading the entire commercial function — developing sales strategy, building market penetration systems, structuring territories, recruiting and managing sales teams, creating channel partnerships, driving marketing campaigns, improving lead conversion, and building long-term institutional accounts. The successful candidate will be a builder and a leader — someone who can think strategically, execute operationally, develop people, and hold the team accountable to outcomes rather than activity.

Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy:
- Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales plans.
- Segment customers by opportunity size. Create customer acquisition strategies.
- Recommend pricing and product positioning.
- Monitor competitors, identify growth opportunities, and drive systematic market conquest.
Market & Territory Development
- Build a disciplined territorial sales structure across Greater Accra (Airport, Cantonments, East Legon, Spintex, Tema, Osu, Ridge, Achimota, Kasoa corridor) and the Ashanti Region & Northern Corridor (Kumasi, Bono Regions, Northern Region, Upper East and West).
- Map high-valuecustomer clusters, assign coverage, and track penetration.
Education Sector
- Build the company into a preferred smart classroom technology provider.
- Develop school databases and decision-maker relationships, design institutional demonstration strategies, drive multi-unit classroom conversion plans, and establish reference schools.
- Target: international schools, private schools, SHSs, colleges, universities, and training institutions.
Corporate & Institutional
- Develop institutional accounts across banks, insurance companies, real estate firms, hotels, mining and oil & gas companies, NGOs, government bodies, conference facilities, churches, and hospitals — with focus on boardroom upgrades, meeting room solutions, training centres, and customer experience displays.
Digital Advertising Displays
- Build specific sales strategies for LED and LCD advertising screens, menu boards, retail displays, and digital signage targeting restaurants, shopping centres, retail chains, hotels, transport hubs, event centres, and corporate reception areas.
Sales Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and manage a performance-driven sales force including direct sales executives and commission-based agents.
- Create sales scripts, establish processes, assign territories, monitor activity, coach underperformers, and develop future team leaders.
Channel Partner Development
- Build indirect sales channels through IT companies, school suppliers, office furniture suppliers, architects, interior designers, and contractors.
- Identify partners, create partnership models, train partners, and track channel revenue.
Sales Process & SOPs
- Establish lead management SOPs, sales pipeline discipline, follow-up systems, customer qualification processes, proposal standards, quotation review controls, and CRM compliance.
- Accuracy and professionalism are mandatory.
Marketing Leadership
- Lead marketing activities: social media campaigns, digital advertising, product and school campaigns, demo events, email and WhatsApp campaigns, customer testimonials, and case studies.
- Marketing must directly generate sales pipeline.
Pipeline & Reporting
- Maintain weekly sales dashboards, revenue forecasts, pipeline reports, conversion analysis, lost deal analysis, and team activity reports.
- Reports must provide business intelligence, not only activity summaries.
Authority & Boundaries
- Recommend and execute sales strategies
- Manage, assign, and develop sales personnel
- Recommend and onboard channel agents
- Design and execute marketing campaigns
- Develop and restructure sales territories
- Negotiate commercial terms within approved guidelines
- Change approved prices without authorization
- Approve discounts outside established guidelines
- Extend customer credit without approval
- Release products independently
- Receive customer payments personally
- Modify financial or accounting controls
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of sales experience with a demonstrated track record of revenue achievement
- Minimum 3 years in a sales team leadership or management role
- Preferred background in technology sales, IT solutions, enterprise sales, telecoms B2B, electronics distribution, or software solutions
