Responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business with key accounts, including national retailers, regional grocery chains, food service distributors, restaurants, and specialty markets.
  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.


Market & Customer Insight

  • Build a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, market trends, and pricing in the produce industry.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback on product quality, varieties, and packaging to the production and operations teams.
  • Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for upselling, new product introductions, and market expansion.


Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination

  • Work closely with the Head Grower, Harvesting, and Logistics teams to align sales forecasts with production schedules.
  • Ensure accurate order fulfillment and manage communication regarding inventory levels, harvest timing, and shipment details.
  • Address and resolve any customer issues related to orders, quality, or delivery promptly.


Marketing & Representation

  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, food conferences, and buyer meetings.
  • Collaborate on marketing materials, product branding, and promotional strategies.


Experience

  • For Structure Sales: 5+ years of technical sales or business development experience in Green House, shade-nets Sales and Irrigation equipment.
  • Experience selling to commercial growers is a significant plus.
  • Experience in a greenhouse, controlled environment agriculture (CEA), or a fresh produce operation is highly desirable.


Skills & Competencies

  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of horticulture, plant science, and the unique aspects of greenhouse production.
  • Superior Sales Skills: Mastery of prospecting, negotiation, closing, and relationship management.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to present confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop sales strategies based on market analysis.
  • Results-Driven: A strong focus on achieving quotas and business objectives.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), MS Office, and understanding of greenhouse climate computers or automation is a plus.


Working Conditions

  • This role is a blend of office work, travel to meet clients and buyers, and time in the greenhouse environment (which can be warm and humid).
  • Significant travel (up to 50%) may be required within the sales region.
