Sales and Customer Service Associate
DEPARTMENT:
Support Services
The Sales and Customer Service Associate plays a key role in driving revenue growth, ensuring excellent customer service, and enhancing customer loyalty for Prestige Kente. The successful candidate will support both in-store and online sales, manage customer relationships across multiple channels, and ensure every customer interaction reflects the cultural richness and quality of our brand.
REPORTING LINE:
Liaises with: All Departments, especially Digital Marketing
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSales & Revenue Generation
- Proactively promote Prestige Kente products to meet or exceed monthly sales targets.
- Guide customers through product selections, customization options, and cultural significance of Kente fabrics.
- Manage the full sales process from lead follow-up to closing deals both online and in-store.
- Operate POS systems for accurate billing, invoicing, and transaction management.
Customer Service & Experience
- Deliver exceptional service across all touchpoints: in-store, social media, website, phone, and email.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly, aligning with company policies and maintaining brand reputation.
- Provide after-sales support, including handling returns, exchanges, and collecting customer feedback.
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate records in CRM systems to track interactions and follow-ups.
Product Expertise
- Maintain strong knowledge of the Prestige Kente product line, new arrivals, collections, and heritage.
- Educate customers on the significance of Kente, its historical roots, and contemporary usage.
E-commerce & Digital Support
- Process and manage online orders from the website, third-party platforms, and social media channels.
- Support customers through live chat, DMs, and virtual consultations.
- Liaise with logistics to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of online orders.
Store Operations (Physical Location)
- Ensure the showroom is well-organized, clean, and visually appealing to enhance the customer experience.
- Support inventory management, stock counts, and product restocking.
- Assist with packaging, shipping, and order tracking for local and international deliveries.
Customer Relationship Management
- Cultivate long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Participate in pop-up events, exhibitions, and brand activations to expand customer base.
- Log and manage customer interactions and preferences using CRM tools to personalize engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSMinimum Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience in sales or customer service, ideally in retail, textiles, or fashion.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French or a local language is a strong advantage.
- Must live in the Adenta area
Technical Skills
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce).
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar, Drive).
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.) and POS systems.
Core Competencies
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-centric with excellent conflict resolution and follow-up skills.
- Strong sales drive with ability to upsell and cross-sell.
- High attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Ghanaian culture and traditional textiles, especially Kente, is a plus.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Full-time, 40-hour work week.
- Availability to work on weekends or holidays when needed.
- Occasional travel for exhibitions or client meetings.
