Highly accomplished and results-driven Sales and Applications Specialist with minimum 5 years of progressive experience in the ophthalmology medical device sector. Proven ability to exceed sales targets by leveraging deep clinical knowledge and providing expert applications training on complex diagnostic and surgical equipment equipment (e.g., OCT, phaco systems, lasers). Dedicated to building strong relationships with ophthalmologists, surgeons, and clinical staff to drive market penetration and ensure superior customer satisfaction.

Job Description/Requirements

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle for ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical equipment, from lead generation to contract closure and post-sales support
  • Conduct professional product demonstrations, workshops, and hands-on training sessions for surgeons and technicians
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, private clinics, eye centers, and key influencers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories to increase revenue and client base
  • Provide pre-sales technical support and recommend tailored solutions based on specific clinical requirements
  • Ensure successful product implementation, follow-up, and ongoing customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to develop strategies for product positioning and promotion
  • Gather and report market feedback, user experience insights, and competitive intelligence
  • Maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and customer records using CRM systems
  • Support participation in conferences, exhibitions, and professional ophthalmology events
  • Resolve customer concerns efficiently to maintain long-term loyalty and trust


Key Areas of Expertise

  • Consultative Sales: Full sales cycle management, including prospecting, presentation, negotiation, and closing high-value equipment contracts.
  • Clinical Applications & Training: Expert-level proficiency and post-sale training on high-tech ophthalmic devices (e.g., OCT, SLT, YAG lasers, topography, biometry, vitrectomy systems).
  • Territory Management & Growth: Strategic development and execution of sales plans to maximize revenue within a defined geographical territory.
  • Relationship Management: Proven success in cultivating KOL (Key Opinion Leader) relationships and driving adoption in hospitals, surgical centers, and private practices.
  • Market Analysis: Identifying new business opportunities, monitoring competitor activity, and providing essential market feedback to R&D and marketing teams.
