The Mobile Banker (Susu Collection Officer) is responsible for daily field engagement with clients to collect savings contributions, maintain accurate financial records, and promote financial inclusion. This role requires integrity, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills to build trust with clients while ensuring the safe and efficient handling of funds.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Visit assigned clients daily to collect susu (daily savings) contributions.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely and consistent collections.
- Provide friendly, professional service during all client interactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions.
- Issue receipts immediately after each collection and ensure proper documentation.
- Reconcile daily collections and submit reports to the supervisor.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Educate clients on available financial products and services.
- Identify and recruit new clients within assigned areas.
- Promote the institution’s savings products and encourage consistent participation.
- Support growth targets by expanding the client base.
- Ensure the safe handling and custody of all collected funds.
- Adhere strictly to cash management and security procedures.
- Report any discrepancies or security concerns immediately.
- Minimum of Senior High School (SHS) certificate or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar role (microfinance, sales, or field operations preferred).
- Strong numerical and record-keeping skills.
- High level of honesty, integrity, and reliability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with local communities and routes is an advantage.
