Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Truck/Forklift Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of diesel-powered trucks and material handling equipment, including forklifts. This role ensures all vehicles and machinery are operating safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and supporting overall operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel trucks and forklifts.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues using diagnostic tools.
• Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, fuel systems, and cooling systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations.
• Recommend parts and tools required for repair jobs and liaise with suppliers when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or technical certification in diesel mechanics or automotive technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in diesel truck and/or forklift maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to vehicle maintenance.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
