As a Key Account Manager at Jumia, you will be accountable for the most important of Jumia KPIs: growth and profitability. This position is currently one of the positions where Jumia Group is investing the most to grow the pool of talent. We expect the best performers to be the next wave of CCOs, MDs, Category Directors across the group.

You will focus on one or several categories, managing c-levels end-to-end relationships for our top brands and vendors. From the very essence of commercial, to operations or even co-organization of Jumia key commercial events, your scope will provide you all levers to drive your categories toward the right direction.

What you will be doing:

  • Operating as a point of contact for all clients under your assigned category. Developing strong relationships with client to ensure continuous, returning and growing business.
  • Liaising with cross functional teams to plan, execute and report on campaigns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Responsible for driving campaign KPIs through day to day campaign optimization and regular alignment with all stakeholders
  • Building strong links with C-Levels and account managers of our top brands and vendors.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key accounts.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and maximize revenue within assigned category.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create and execute promotional campaigns and initiatives tailored to assigned category.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Monitor and report on key account metrics, including sales performance, inventory levels, and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and finalize agreements with key accounts, ensuring mutual benefit and sustainable partnerships.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to key clients, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences within assigned category.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, operations, and logistics, to ensure seamless account management and fulfillment.

What we are looking for:

  • Graduate of accredited top Universities
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role managing online marketing campaigns: multi-channel management, at ease with marketing KPIs and campaign budget management
  • Brand DNA sensitivity is a plus.
  • Enjoying data crunching and at ease with large data sets and multiple sources of info
  • Enjoying working with multi-stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google tools
  • Familiar with relationship management tools
  • Strong commercial & analytical skills
  • Great capacity to handle high stake negotiations
  • Strong inter-personal skills: Convince the people and your team that you are making the right decisions
  • Great ability to work in a fast paced and competitive environment
  • Flawless English communication
