IT Officer

Responsibilities:  

• Overseeing organization’s IT infrastructure to improve ability to use technology stack needed to promote business growth.
• Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.
• Implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization.
• Designing training programs and workshops to instill best IT practices for staff and associates.
• Working directly with leadership to develop a comprehensive digital strategy that encompasses all aspects of the business.
• Set and implement digital strategy by working with cross-functional partners to transition from traditional to digital processes.
• Build relationships externally with IT vendors, startups and third-party stakeholders.
• Keep pace with market innovation to maintain a responsive digital strategy.
• Drive digital transformation by building an innovative ecosystem in the company to ultimately transform a traditional analog business onto digital platform.
• Running regular checks on network and data security to maintain high standards for cybersecurity and data protection.
• Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages.
• Provide hardware and software maintenance services and helping with troubleshooting of technical issues.
• Responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading IT related activities in the organization.
• Responsible for implementing computer systems to fulfill the organization's information systems requirements.
• Managing telecommunications systems and other electronic support systems related to the company operations

Requirements and Skills

• Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role;
• Proven track record of leading successful digital transformation projects;
• Expertise in data platforms, cloud computing, API integrations, management and data governance;
• Understanding of core business processes and associated technical solutions;
• An innovative and disruptive mindset, constantly looking forward to new more efficient digital approaches;
• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems integrations or related field;
• Proven working experience as an IT Officer or relevant experience;

·       Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems;

·       Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation;

·       Knowledge in digital information and modern technologies such as the cloud, the IoT, mobile apps, social media, machine learning-based products, and digital marketing a plus.
