Job summary

The Head, Human Resources and Administration shall provide and deliver seamless human resource management services to achieve the objectives of the Company. This includes human resourcing planning and recruitment, training and development, employee relations, employee performance management, compensation and benefits, human resource management information system, employees’ health, safety and wellbeing, organizational transformation, and change management as well as general administrative services.

Job descriptions & requirements

General Administration

  • Formulate and review Human Resource strategic plans to support corporate strategic goals and serve as a strategic business advisor to management on key Human Resource management issues.
  • Prepare and administer Human Resources budget to ensure prudent and judicious use of funds.
  • Build and maintain accurate and reliable Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) on employees which enables strategic and operational decision making.
  • Contract management and administration to ensure that terms and conditions of contracts are conscientiously carry out.
  • Perform day to day administrative duties including correspondences.
  • Prepare and present monthly and annual reports on Human Resource issues/activities to Management.


Human Resource Planning and Recruitment

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Human Resource planning programmes to meet the company’s requirements.
  • Overseeing talent acquisition/recruitment, talent management and succession planning as well as talents retention.


Training and Development

  • Coach Line Mangers to identify training needs of their direct reports.
  • Collate training needs of employees from their Line Managers.
  • Plan and arrange training programmes including career development, succession planning and leadership development.
  • Source and evaluate internal and external training facilitators, evaluate training programmes and their impact on the performance of employees.


Employee Performance Management

  • Promote performance culture and standards aimed at achieving the corporate objectives.
  • Liaised with Line managers to design role profile for their direct reports, enter into performance dialogue with their direct teams, tracked and assessed performance of employees periodically.
  • Design and implement employee performance management system which largely measures targets-results relationships.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plan that is competitive, equitable and cost effective.
  • Working with the Finance team on payroll of employees and statutory deductions.
  • Formulate, implement, and review compensation and benefit schemes and policies to attract and retain best talents.


Employees Relations

  • Design and implement strategies and systems to ensure harmonious and peaceful relations between the management and staff and among teams by consulting and advising these key stakeholders on compliance with the Ghana Labour and Employment Law.
  • Educate employees on the policies and procedures of the company and the need to adhere to them and promoting effective and efficient communications across the business.
  • Handle disciplinary issues; ensure that grievance procedures are followed in the resolution of conflicts.


Health, Safety and Wellbeing

  • Provide health, safety, and wellbeing services to employees as per statutory provisions and the Company’s policies and procedures.
