Job summary
A leading international school in Accra is seeking a Human Resources and Admin Manager to support its academic and operational objectives through effective people management. The successful candidate will work closely with school leadership to deliver both strategic and hands-on HR support, ensuring compliance, strong employee relations, and a positive staff experience for teaching and non-teaching staff. This role is ideal for an HR professional who understands the dynamics of an international or high-performing educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
- Partner with school leadership to align HR initiatives with academic and operational goals.
- Provide guidance on workforce planning, organisational structure, and performance evaluation, etc
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for teaching, administrative, and support staff.
- Coordinate onboarding, induction, and probation processes to ensure smooth staff integration.
Performance Management & Staff Development:
- Support the implementation of performance appraisal systems.
- Advise Heads of Department on performance management, feedback, and development planning.
- Identify training and professional development needs for staff.
Employee Relations & Staff Welfare
- Manage disciplinary, grievance, and conflict resolution processes in line with policy and labour law.
- Act as a trusted advisor to staff and management on employee relations matters.
- Promote staff wellbeing, engagement, and a positive school culture.
Policy, Compliance & Governance
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, safeguarding standards, and education sector regulations.
- Maintain accurate HR records and support audits, inspections, and accreditation processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–6 years HR experience, preferably within an international school, educational institution, or service-driven environment.
- Professional HR certification (CIPD, PHRi, SHRM or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of labour law and employee relations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
