We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager who is not only highly skilled in financial management but also capable of presenting complex financial information to the board and advising senior management on financial strategy and decision-making. Job Description/Requirements
Reports To: Finance Controller/Finance Director
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to forecast revenue, costs, and profitability.
- Perform variance analysis to track performance against budget, identifying key drivers of performance and areas for improvement.
- Provide actionable insights on financial trends, cash flow, profitability, and cost control to senior management.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting process, collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Prepare financial forecasts and projections, updating them regularly based on actual performance and changing business conditions.
- Advise management on cost-saving opportunities, investment strategies, and resource allocation to optimize financial performance.
Board Reporting & Presentations:
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports to the Board of Directors, including insights into the company’s financial health, performance metrics, key risks, and strategic financial initiatives.
- Develop clear, concise, and visually engaging presentations that communicate financial information to a non-financial audience at the board level.
- Highlight key financial trends and potential challenges, offering strategic recommendations to guide decision-making.
Financial Strategy & Advisory:
- Advise senior management on financial strategies, including investment opportunities, capital structure, and growth initiatives.
- Provide recommendations on improving financial performance, cash flow management, and long-term sustainability.
- Assist in evaluating major business decisions, such as mergers and acquisitions, large investments, or new business ventures, from a financial perspective.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management:
- Manage the company’s cash flow to ensure the business has adequate liquidity to meet operational needs and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee working capital management, ensuring effective utilization of resources, minimizing excess cash holdings, and optimizing the management of receivables and payables.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Monitor financial risks, including currency risk, credit risk, and market risk, and recommend strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure the company’s financial practices comply with accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements.
- Lead audits and work with external auditors to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and development of team members.
- Foster a collaborative environment within the finance department, ensuring efficient financial operations and continuous improvement in processes and reporting.
Financial Reporting & Systems:
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS) or local GAAP, as applicable.
- Maintain financial systems and processes, ensuring they are efficient, accurate, and scalable to support the growth of the business.
- Lead the implementation of financial software or tools that enhance reporting capabilities and automate financial tasks.
Ad Hoc Analysis & Special Projects:
- Perform special financial analysis as required, such as feasibility studies, ROI analysis, or ad hoc requests from the CEO or Board.
- Support the management in preparing financial data for strategic decisions and business initiatives.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or senior finance role.
- Experience presenting financial data to senior executives and boards of directors.
- Proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, preferably in a corporate or multinational setting.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, financial modeling, and performance metrics.
- Expertise in financial reporting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling).
- Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information clear, understandable insights
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to think strategically and provide financial guidance to management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
