Entry Level System Infrastructure IT Professional

Responsibilities:

Hardware Support and Maintenance:

• Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware, workstations, and peripheral devices.
• Conduct routine hardware inspections and perform basic repairs or component replacements as needed.
• Keep an inventory of hardware assets and assist with procurement activities.

Network Assistance:

• Aid in the setup and configuration of network equipment, including routers, switches, and access points.
• Assist in monitoring network performance and addressing basic connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with senior team members in implementing network security measures.

Software Installation and Updates:

• Assist with the installation and maintenance of operating systems and software applications.
• Apply software updates and patches to ensure system security and reliability.
• Help with the installation and management of software licenses.

Troubleshooting and Support:

• Provide basic technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software-related problems.
• Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve system issues and user inquiries.

Documentation and Inventory:

• Maintain accurate documentation of hardware configurations, network diagrams, and procedures.
• Assist in managing hardware and software inventories.

Collaboration and Learning:

• Collaborate with senior IT professionals and participate in on-the-job training.
• Continuously expand your knowledge and skills in system infrastructure and networking.

Compliance and Security:

• Learn about and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, security standards, and best practices.
• Participate in security awareness and incident response activities.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus but not required.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware components, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and network fundamentals.
• Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in IT infrastructure and networking.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
• Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft MTA are a plus but not mandatory.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with team members.
