Job summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for the financial stewardship of the company, overseeing all financial operations, and providing strategic guidance to support the company’s growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry, strong financial acumen, and the ability to lead and inspire a finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy to support growth, profitability, and sustainability.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely dissemination of financial information.
- Lead financial risk management efforts, including assessing and mitigating financial risks.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Oversee treasury operations, including cash flow management, investment strategies, and capital structure optimization.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to inform business decisions.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial aspects of operations, sales, and marketing strategies.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including Auditors, Banks, and Investors.
- Drive financial performance through cost management, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Must be a Chartered Member of ACCA, ICA, or CIMA.
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar role, with at least 7 years in a leadership position.
- Previous work experience in the logistics and freight forwarding industry is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Sage).
