Reporting to the Board, the CEO will provide visionary leadership, define and execute strategy, enhance operational performance, and drive sustainable growth and market expansion. This role requires a leader who can inspire confidence among stakeholders, foster a high-performance culture, and position the Bank as a leading financial institution in the region. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for the Bank’s performance, including delivery of profitable growth, effective risk management, regulatory compliance, and a strong customer-centric culture.
  • Partner with the Executive Management Team to set annual performance objectives, allocate resources effectively, evaluate performance outcomes, and make recommendations on remuneration, incentives, and career advancement.
  • Drive the development and execution of robust marketing strategies to strengthen the Bank’s brand positioning and market presence.
  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of innovative products and services to enhance competitiveness and meet evolving customer needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to originate and grow new business opportunities through strategic partnerships and relationship management.
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to support effective governance, foster engagement, and ensure alignment on strategic priorities.
  • Ensure full compliance with the requirements of the Central Bank of Liberia and all other applicable regulatory authorities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and the broader economic environment to inform strategic decision-making.



Qualification/ Key Competencies

  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years’ progressive experience in the banking industry, with significant senior management exposure
  • A postgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • A recognized professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (or equivalent)
  • A proven ability to lead large teams, drive transformation initiatives, and deliver strong financial and operational performance.
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong professional network, with proven experience engaging effectively at senior and Board (C-suite) levels.
  • Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and mature, with strong executive presence and the ability to communicate with clarity and impact.
  • Exceptional analytical capability, with a track record of identifying issues and delivering effective, timely solutions.
  • Innovative and results-driven, with a strong focus on value creation and performance outcomes.
  • Proven strategic leadership capability, with the ability to inspire, lead, and drive teams to successfully execute business objectives.
  • Strong business acumen, with a clear focus on delivering sustainable results.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, financial management, and quantitative analysis.
