Job Description/Requirements
A growing engineering solutions company is seeking a skilled AC Technician to join its technical team. The technician will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of air conditioning and HVAC systems across various industrial and commercial sites. This role requires hands-on experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning and HVAC systems.
Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to avoid system failures.
Handle refrigerants and comply with safety and environmental regulations.
Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and wiring diagrams.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with industry standards and safety protocols.
Document maintenance activities and prepare service reports.
Provide technical support to teams during project implementation.
Respond to urgent service calls and resolve breakdowns efficiently.
Recommend system improvements or replacements when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in engineering or industrial service companies.
Certification in refrigerant handling or HVAC systems.
Knowledge of energy-efficient systems and controls.
Requirements
Technical certificate or diploma in Refrigeration, HVAC, or Air Conditioning.
At least 2–3 years of proven experience as an AC Technician.
Solid understanding of HVAC systems and components.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Physically fit and comfortable working in varied environments.
Must be based in or willing to relocate to Obuasi or Kumasi.
