WAREHOUSE OFFICER

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Officer is responsible for the efficient handling and storage of raw materials, trims, and packaging supplies used in garment production. This role supports production by ensuring accurate stock records, timely availability of materials, and well-organized warehouse operations. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming materials such as fabrics, linings, threads, labels, buttons, zippers, and packaging supplies.
• Ensure proper documentation of all received items and match against purchase orders or delivery notes.
• Store materials in designated locations using clear labeling and organized stacking to prevent damage or loss.
• Maintain accurate stock records in Microsoft Excel and/or inventory management systems.
• Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to the procurement or production team.
• Issue materials to production units based on approved material requisitions.
• Conduct periodic physical stock counts and reconcile with inventory records.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with company policies.
• Follow garment industry standards for handling and storing textile materials (e.g., protection from moisture and sunlight).

Qualifications and Skills:

• Higher National Diploma (HND) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in a warehouse role, preferably within the garment/textile industry.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., data entry, inventory tracking, basic formulas).
• Good organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
