Job Summary
The VP of Marketing will focus on developing and executing marketing campaigns and managing systems to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals. This leader will closely align with the company’s Sales and Partnerships Teams to build and manage measurable key performance indicators designed to support driving revenue objectives. The position will be measured by critical metrics such as qualified lead volume, cost per qualified lead, customer acquisition costs by channel and ultimately achievement to business plan targets. The marketing leader will also drive the brand and content strategy, driving the team to plan, coordinate and execute campaigns utilizing experts across the organization, fueling inbound marketing strategies with rich, meaningful content, driven by research, thought leadership, and innovation.

How You Will Succeed
- Lead the team as an expert in all marketing disciplines, including brand/content, demand gen (new and expansion), public relations and analyst relations.
- Self-starter, demonstrating high initiative and critical thinking. Proven ability to think strategically, but with exceptional attention to detail in execution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry analysts to shape positive perception and influence positioning of the company's products and services.
- Infuse a data-driven culture in the growth team, with alignment of KPIs by functional area.
- Achieve customer acquisition goals through demand generation campaigns, audience building and engagement, SEO, content strategy, social media engagement, online presence (listings and reviews,) referral programs, and customer buyer journey optimization.
- Set the strategy and manage multiple marketing programs, including integrated digital campaigns, database and email marketing, email nurture and other brand campaigns. Deploy best practice marketing automation programs to engage leads and accelerate their buyer journey.
- Develop content marketing strategies leveraged by a deep understanding of audience, message, business objective, market research, and product positioning.
- Continually assess campaign and program performance, determine why programs succeed or fail, and identify optimization tests, growth opportunities, and pursue investment areas to drive results.
- Foster a culture and develop a highly skilled, highly collaborative, engaged team of marketers. Mentor and grow the team. Ensure the team is connected to our customers, product offerings, and value proposition.
- Ensure responsible, timely spending against established annual operating budgets which encompass internal and external initiatives. Closely manage the unit economics across each marketing channel. Provide visibility to outcomes across the marketing organization including customer acquisition costs, campaign attribution and touchpoint metrics.
- Use an iterative, highly instrumented, personalized digital marketing strategy, and working with the sales and implementation teams, maximize customer acquisition through optimization of every touchpoint of the buyer journey.
- Have a point of view and perspective on best-in-class marketing tools and processes and partner with Revenue Operations as appropriate. Promote the use of new technologies and techniques internally.
- Work cross-functionally with other leaders in the organization to represent and advocate the needs of the marketing organization and work to establish productive partnerships.
- Partner closely with the Sales and Partnership Teams to consistently identify opportunities and align on strategic initiatives, campaigns, and tactics.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years’ experience in a senior-level marketing role, eCommerce, B2B and/or B2C, or digital agency experience strongly preferred. SaaS to SMB experience preferred.
- Proven execution against performance targets in addition to tracking and delivering on key operational metrics (e.g., acquisition, engagement, conversion, return on investment) and effectively managed multi-million dollar budgets.
- Experience building a marketing culture that focuses on data and analytics to drive decision making.
- Proven record of successful campaign development and management across multiple marketing channels.
- Track record of developing highly skilled, high-powered, nimble and cohesive teams
- Senior-level experience in the instrumentation and integration of technology tools to market, measure, and drive results.
- Experience with leveraging CRM and marketing automation systems and data, Salesforce and Hubspot preferred.
- Strong experience and expertise in digital marketing, including email, database marketing, search marketing (PPC), online advertising and more.
- Must have a strong analytical and quantitative skill set combined with a strength to analyze data, interpret and translate results to produce actionable changes.
- Highly efficient team player, with the ability to also work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
- Proven track record collaborating with internal parties and external agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
