Transportation Supervisor

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Transportation Supervisor to oversee daily transportation operations within our fast-paced FMCG distribution network. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods, optimizing transport routes, managing drivers, and maintaining compliance with all transport regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the dispatching, routing, and tracking of all company delivery vehicles.
• Ensure timely deliveries of FMCG products to clients, distributors, and retail outlets.
• Monitor driver performance, enforce safety standards, and conduct periodic vehicle inspections.
• Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to align transportation schedules with inventory levels and customer demand.
• Maintain transport records, delivery logs, and fuel usage reports accurately.
• Resolve delivery issues or delays promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards governing transport operations.
• Assist in optimizing routes and reducing transport costs without compromising service quality.
• Provide training and guidance to transport personnel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a transportation supervisory role, preferably in an FMCG environment.
• Strong understanding of fleet management and route planning.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
