Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Marketing Manager (Startup Marketing) to join the team! This senior individual contributor role will be integral in helping scale our DigitalOcean for Startups program (Hatch), which offers a suite of benefits and resources designed to power the next generation of startup founders to build world-changing products on our simple yet powerful cloud platform.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Managing projects from start to finish such as startup marketing events, building relationships with and engaging with our community partners such as venture capital firms / accelerators / incubators, community surveys, referral programs, growth experiments etc.
- Writing emails, blog posts, case studies, and other copy for our customers and startup community
- Setting program metrics, tracking success, and managing reporting for high-value marketing initiatives
- Optimizing internal operational workflows by serving as a liaison with our data and engineering teams
- Be the voice of startup customers internally and help define our strategy to serve this very important customer type
Requirements:
- Proven track record working in marketing to early-stage startups, preferably in a developer-focused environment
- Exceptional Writer: You are a seasoned writer with examples of your amazing writing style to prove it.
- Team Player: You have a proven track record of effectively working cross functionally across the organization.
- Project Leadership: You can work independently and take ownership of new and existing marketing initiatives.
- Relationship Builder: You possess strong networking and communication skills (written/verbal/presentation) and ability to develop and maintain great stakeholder relationships.
- Data Driven: You embody a data-driven approach to marketing, and you’re able to test and scale proven approaches and content.
- Startup Ecosystem: You deeply understand venture capital and angel investing including funding stages, notable investment funds, the founder journey and current developer tools market trends
- Marketing Software Tools: Deep expertise and familiarity with sales campaign systems, CRMs, and other relevant sales systems.
