The Sales & Marketing Lead will plan, coordinate, and execute a comprehensive marketing and sales programme for DataCenta’s electronic legal products, in line with the company’s vision as Ghana’s leading electronic law library and legal repository. The role focuses on daily marketing of all DataCenta products, driving revenue growth, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting management with regular reporting and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Marketing & Business Development

  • See to the daily marketing of all DataCenta products (subscriptions, updates, and related services).
  • Introduce and market DataCenta’s products to prospective clients, including law firms, corporate legal departments, academic institutions, and individual practitioners.
  • Engage existing clients to purchase additional products, renewals, or updates (cross-sell and upsell).
  • Make new contacts and build a steady pipeline of prospects across assigned territories.
  • Communicate clients’ issues and feedback promptly to Management for resolution.

Client Relationship Management & Database

  • Act as the primary contact for all assigned clients, maintaining professional and responsive relationships.
  • Maintain and continuously update the client and prospect database with accurate contact details, interaction history, and sales status.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through timely follow-up, training coordination, and support for product use.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Prepare and submit a daily marketing report to the DataCenta Business Manager, capturing visits, calls, leads, and key outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit a weekly marketing report to Management, summarizing activities, pipeline, and key insights.
  • Arrange and participate in monthly meetings with Management to review the monthly marketing report, performance against targets, and action plans.

Revenue Forecasting & Target Management

  • Forecast revenues by month, quarter, and year for assigned products and territories, in line with DataCenta’s business objectives.
  • Monitor progress regularly against these targets and recommend or take action where needed to bring performance back on track.

Marketing Planning & Campaign Execution

  • Plan and coordinate a comprehensive marketing programme aligned with DataCenta’s vision, including promotional ideas and activities (online and offline).
  • Provide guidance and coordinate implementation efforts relating to the promotion and installation of new or existing products and services.
  • Develop marketing concepts, objectives, materials, advertisements, and related events for approval by Management.
  • Coordinate advertising of DataCenta’s products in the newspapers/dailies each month and support digital channels where applicable.

Market Analysis & Policy Recommendations

  • Assist in special projects such as cost - benefit and feasibility studies for proposed or ongoing products and initiatives.
  • Recommend appropriate policies on pricing, promotion, product positioning, and market evaluations to Management.
  • Monitor competitors and market trends in legal tech and electronic legal publishing and make recommendations to maintain DataCenta’s market leadership.

Other Duties

  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described above, as may be assigned by Management.


Required Skills, Competencies & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales/marketing, preferably in B2B, professional services, or technology.
  • Strong “hunter mentality” with proven ability to prospect, cold call, and generate own leads.
  • Excellent presentation and product demonstration skills, comfortable engaging legal and corporate decision-makers.
  • Ability to quickly understand and articulate DataCenta’s products, features, and benefits to different client segments.
  • Strong professional communication skills (written and verbal) with a polished, client-facing manner.
  • High level of autonomy, self-motivation, and accountability in planning daily marketing activities and meeting targets.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing and lead generation channels (email, LinkedIn, webinars, online campaigns).
  • Good analytical skills for preparing reports, forecasts, and basic market/feasibility analyses.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM or client database tools.
