Retail Sales Associate

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and greet customers as they enter the store 
• Offer help and provide direct assistance to customers 
• Provide in-depth product knowledge, including features, benefits, and overall value 
• Answer customer questions and concerns 
• Attend to unique and individual shopping needs of each customer 
• Cross-sell and encourage beneficial product add-ons, and upsell when appropriate 
• Explain store-member benefits and encourage customers to sign up 
• Process purchases, returns, and exchanges, and document sales 
• Handle customer complaints in a calm and professional manner 
• Help organise back stock and perform inventory counts 
• Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise. 
• Maintain a clean and tidy work and retail space 
• Take direction from and report to assigned supervisor 
• Work as a team to achieve sales goals 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma, university degree is a plus 
• Previous retail, sales and/or hospitality experience is a plus 
• Proficient in verbal and written English language 
• Good telephone etiquette 
• Computer literate; familiarity using POS systems, smartphones, tablets, etc. 
• Extremely personable, positive, and approachable 
• Fantastic customer service skills 
• Able to work various shifts, including some weekends and holidays
