Duties and Requirements
- Strong conceptual & operational market knowledge of the modern trade universe pan country ( hypermarket, supermarket –all formats, malls, specialty outlets ) in terms of economics, national network & leveraging.
- Bias towards execution
- Good knowledge for the following categories – FMCG, Electricals, Electronics
- Has developed modern trade from ground zero terms of – category & product participation ( introduction of new categories, products, etc ) and rapidly scaling them up in beating the competition.
- Good understanding of various consumer segments and mapping segments to products & categories. This includes understanding price elasticities – price points tracking of own vs. competition and how to play the game at short to mid term.
- Good understanding, creating and execution of brand plans ( principally BTL – below the line ), sales tracking MIS, budget tracking and key retail metrics
- Good knowledge of basic return on marketing investment tools
- Excellent in customer relationship management, networking & communication skills
- Excellent cash & credit control exposure
- Aggressive and go getter with non-questionable integrity
- Prior MNC exposure with Shoprite, Game, Palace, Marina a big plus
- Preferably has own vehicle
- Well trained in basic sales processes like OTC, sales MIS, customer tracking & developing markets from ground-zero.
Qualification and Experience
- Must be a University graduate
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a TOUGH TARGET DRIVEN CULTURE
