Credit Monitoring and Recovery Officer

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting periodic portfolio reviews and advise the Head of Credit on appropriate actions for ensuring profitable and high-quality loan asset. This shall include delinquency segmentation/profiling needed to guide remedial decisions.
• Process loan repayments received from various sources and applying same to payments due; including deductions from the Controller & Accountant Generals Department (CAGD).
• Reconciliation of loan book and customer loan records.
• Assist in processing refunds of loan over-deductions in collaboration with Accounts Department.
• Conduct checks and report on loans where principal instalment payments and/or interest are in arrears.
• Assist in the recovery and liaising with relevant stakeholders in recovering of default loans.
• Rebooking of ceased loans and loan transactions required to be terminated on TPRS Platform.
• Assist in the compilation of loan receivable data and Loan Impairment for periodic and annual Financial Statements.
• Assist in preparation of periodic and ad hoc reports to the Head of Credit.
• Provide timely feedback to customer enquiries and complaints on loan related matters.

Qualification and Skills Required:

An applicant must have the following qualifications and skills:

• A good first degree in Accounting, Finance and/or other analytical related degree disciplines from a recognized University.
• Must have at least 5 years’ post-qualification working experience.
• Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Suite, especially excel and ERPs.
• Proven analytical skills.
• Being a qualified member of ICA(GH), ACCA, CIMA, CFA or a related Masters degree will be an added advantage.
