About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Volunteer DevOps Engineer with experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based systems. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, collaborate with a technical team, and gain hands-on experience in cloud operations, automation, and infrastructure management.
Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application delivery
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Support containerized applications and orchestration platforms
• Assist with system troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with developers to improve deployment processes and system reliability
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
• Recommend and implement best practices for cloud architecture, security, and scalability
  

Requirements

• Experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Understanding of Linux system administration
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automation workflows
• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of networking, security groups, load balancers, and cloud security principles
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Cloud certifications
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Experience managing production or staging environments
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and performance tuning
