Job Title: Senior Production Technician

This is a 24-month contract position based in Ghana

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Executes preventative production and repair work, shutdowns, isolations and planned Production in accordance with the CMMS ensuring related activities are carried out to the highest standards
• Be the key person in executing and carrying out first line Production maintenance activities for Topsides Process/Utilities
• Ensures that all test and inspection routines required for the Production System are completed
• Assist the Supervisor by providing the input needed for efficient and effective record keeping
• Plant safe and efficient monitoring and operation of topside facility. Analyzing operating parameters for any fault and report to the production supervisor promptly. Follow-up and carry-out correct and proper action
• Assists with review and updates of Job descriptions for production team
• Be familiar with the plant and machinery; their safe operation and Production and be equipped with the knowledge of safety requirements including work permit systems, operational and emergency procedures, company policy and instructions.
• Carries out planned preventative and remedial Production maintenance as described in Maintenance management system work instructions
• Responsible for weekly monitoring checks on safety and production critical equipment, reporting any deviation of set parameters and raise work orders in Production management systems.
• Carries out fault finding and diagnostic checks on all vessel equipment, ensuring any repairs are addressed promptly.
• Relieves Control Room Operator when needed during breaks when required. Mentor Production operator and Production Technician I and II.
• Completes and maintains all documentation associated with Production engineering as required for all Production operational work activities.
• Provides engineering Production support to achieve and maintain the technical and performance integrity of the FPSO Facility
• Complete all work activities in accordance with the Facility standards and Management, procedures and specifications
• Relieves Control Room Operator when needed and act as Production Supervisor if required
• Able to assist Production Supervisor in preparing permits through ECOW
• Responsible in mentoring production technicians and operators.
• Ensure topside process system and utility equipment are well maintained, clean and in good order.
• Coordinate various plant equipment maintenance and vendor maintenance.
• Able to carry out laboratory routine sampling and testing in case Labtech is not available in the shift.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• BSc/ B. Tech in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering
• 4 years' experience of hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities or industrial processing on an FPSO
• Ability to utilize interpersonal skills in resolving issues
• Proven experience and/or qualified to N/SVQ Hydrocarbon Processing Level 2 or similar qualification level.
• Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative
• Good Interpersonal skills
• Good understanding of Permit to Work, Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment
• Good skills in plant equipment and process troubleshooting
• Good mechanical system aptitude
