A reputable company in the Eastern Region is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services. The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effectiveness, quality assurance, and timely delivery while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Source, evaluate, and engage reliable suppliers and vendors
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company policies
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to forecast needs
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Manage supplier performance and resolve any procurement-related issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in procurement or a similar role
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Good knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ideal candidate must reside in the Eastern Region
