Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Transport staff, partners and materials safely to and from field sites, regional and district health directories and meeting venues, as scheduled by the Transport Manager.
• Conduct daily and routine vehicle checks (e.g. brakes, tyres, fuel and lubricant levels and cleanliness) and report mechanical faults to the Transport Manager promptly
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel consumption records and maintenance/service schedules
• Support logistics for malaria commodity distribution and supervision visits
• Undertake official errands (e.g dispatch of documents and procurement related runs) as assigned by the Transport Manager.
• Observe road safety regulations and comply with the GHS Transport Policy, guidelines and protocols at all times
• Maintain confidentiality on officially NMEP/GHS matters
  

Qualification Required & Experience

• Valid Ghanaian driver's license (class appropriate to the assigned vehicle type) with a clean driving record
• Minimum of SSCE or WASSCE or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years driving experience, preferably within the public or health sector.
  

Competencies

• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and good knowledge of road networks
• Safety consciousness and defensive driving skills
• Ability to read and interpret road signs, traffic rules and regulation and travel to remote areas
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Punctuality, reliability, integrity and discretion
