Job Summary

The AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Associate will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS. The individual will play a key part in automating our software delivery pipelines, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring the smooth deployment and management of our applications.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI) to automate software release processes from code commit to production deployment.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to provision and configure AWS resources.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize AWS resources for cost efficiency, scalability, and high availability using tools like AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, and CloudTrail.
  • Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to streamline workflows, ensure best practices, and facilitate effective communication.
  • Automate routine operational tasks and contribute to the development of self- healing and resilient systems.
  • Ensure security and compliance of AWS infrastructure and applications by implementing appropriate security controls and adhering to industry best practices (e.g., IAM, security groups, encryption).
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, DevOps trends, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharing within the team.


Required Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Associate certification is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Solid understanding and experience with CI/CD principles and tools.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS).
  • Knowledge of core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing, Firewalls).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
