The company is an established supplier of high-value laboratory equipment, Hospital equipment and consumables, known for innovative and highly reliable application tools.
Role Description The Sales Specialist (Medical/Laboratory Devices and Consumables) is a full-time, on-site role based in Accra. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and promoting DCL’s portfolio of medical and laboratory devices and consumables to healthcare facilities, diagnostic centers, and research institutions.
Daily activities include meeting with clients, delivering product presentations and demonstrations, preparing quotations, following up on leads, and negotiating sales contracts in line with company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver product presentations, demonstrations and other sales materials in response to customer requirements.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, including doctors, radiologists, hospital administrators, procurement officers, biomedical engineers, laboratory managers, and other decision-makers.
- Ability to develop a strong understanding of laboratory/Medical products, including their applications, features, benefits, competitive advantages, and limitations.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, including customer information, opportunities, quotations, activities, sales forecasts, and follow-up actions using the company’s CRM.
- Monitor market developments and provide relevant market intelligence reports.
- Support customer onboarding and after-sales engagement by ensuring that customer concerns, technical issues, and service requests are promptly communicated to the appropriate internal teams.
- Represent the company professionally at exhibitions, conferences, product launches demonstrations, and other industry events.
- Perform any other sales and business development duties reasonably assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to build trust, understand client needs, and provide responsive support.
- Candidates should possess foundational Sales Management skills, such as pipeline tracking, forecasting, and territory planning.
- Relevant experience in medical, laboratory, diagnostics, or healthcare equipment sales is highly beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in science, biological Science, Biomedical engineering, medical laboratory Science or a related field is preferred.
