About Us

Safisana is an international social enterprise that has developed a circular waste-to-resource business model for local waste treatment for governments, utilities and food processing industries. Our recycling plant turns organic waste and faecal sludge into high-value products: renewable energy (biogas and electricity) and organic fertilizer. Safisana also has an agronomy department that is into crop production in three sections: Greenhouse, Hydroponics and Farm field.



Overview

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Intern will assist in the execution of the company’s sales strategy. It is expected that the Sale Representative intern will spend a high percentage of his time in the field engaged directly in selling activities. Initially, the candidate will do follow-up with the client to advise them on the best application of compost. We're seeking a quick learner who can adapt and innovate in an early stage environment with strong selling skills and good sales experience. 



Responsibilities 

  • Involvement in the marketing and sale of organic compost and farm produce.
  • Advise and follow-up with clients to understand how they are using the compost and to advise them on appropriate application
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies for organic compost and farm produce.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Assisting to generate reports and presenting findings to management, clients or other interested parties.
  • Generating sales leads and conducting marketing research.
  • Assess and implement sales tools to facilitate the sales process.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Agribusiness or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to cope with rejection.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge in the Agri- food chain
  • Ability to make excellent decisions and overcome challenges creatively.
  • Self-motivated and organized.
  • Good Interpersonal Skills.
  • Interest in Sales and Marketing
