Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee credit appraisal for approval, monitoring and recovery loans.
- Ensure loan portfolios comply with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage credit risk and recovery strategies
- Prepare periodic credit performance reports for Management and the Board
- Ensure all credit required regulatory rates are met
- Prepare credit strategy for the bank
Qualification/Skills
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Master’s degree in a related field and a professional certification (CIB, ACCA, CA, CICMG, etc,) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience, with four (4) years in a managerial position, preferably in a Community banking environment.
- Good understanding and application of IFRS9.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good planning, quantitative and analytical skills
