Job summary
A reputable licensed Broker-Dealer with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and a member of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), committed to upholding the highest standards of market integrity, transparency, and regulatory compliance is looking for an Authorised Dealing Officer. The role requires a deep understanding of capital markets, strong execution capabilities, and the ability to convert market intelligence into profitable trading strategies. The successful candidate will be expected to actively monitor market movements, analyse macroeconomic trends, identify emerging investment opportunities, and provide strategic trade ideas to internal stakeholders and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute buy and sell orders for equities, government securities, corporate bonds, and commodities on behalf of institutional, ensuring best execution practices.
- Strictly adhere to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Ghana regulations, GSE trading rules, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols.
- Provide real-time market intelligence, price quotations, and trade confirmations to clients. Maintain high fiduciary standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with key market players (regulators, brokerage firms, portfolio managers, and prospective investors) to support effective collaboration.
- Identify and engage prospective clients to expand the existing client base.
- Monitor macroeconomic and other environmental trends that may affect the value of investment portfolios.
- Monitor intra-day exposure, margin requirements, and settlement risks. Ensure all trades are settled within stipulated timeframes.
- Maintain accurate and adequate documentation on order logs, and client transaction records for regulatory audits.
- Analyse market trends, company announcements, and macroeconomic data to advise clients and internal teams.
- Complete other tasks assigned by management as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field. An MBA or professional certification (CFA Level I/II) is an added advantage.
- Successful completion of the GISI, GSE certification courses, or any other courses specified by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Ghana Stock Exchange.
- Must be a Registered Securities Dealer with the Ghana Stock Exchange.
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience on a trading floor or dealing desk at a licensed brokerage, investment bank, or asset management firm in Ghana.
- Thorough knowledge of regulatory framework and understanding of macroeconomic theory, monetary and fiscal policy and their respective impact on markets.
- Proficiency in GSE trading platforms (e.g., Central Securities Depository - CSD).
- Solid quantitative and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills are required.
- High integrity, ability to work under pressure, excellent numerical accuracy, and strong client relationship skills.
