Job summary

The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to support business decision-making. The role involves interpreting data trends, preparing reports, and providing insights that help improve operational efficiency and drive strategic growth. The Data Analyst works closely with different departments to identify data needs, ensure data accuracy, and present findings in a clear and meaningful way using dashboards, charts, and reports.

Job descriptions & requirements

Job Responsibilities:

Data Management

  • Ensure any received Input File will be loaded into final repository on or before 3rd Business Day.
  • Ensure any registered Dispute will be resolved on or before 15 Business Day .
  • Ensure any file rejected at Poller and Loader and reloaded successfully to SB1 production .
  • Facility Updates – Ensure all data subjects and data providers have their records updated and reflected on the CIR.
  • Ensure any record that passes validation gets to HST History and Final Repository.
  • Ensure duplicated facilities are merged in SB1 using SQL Scripts.
  • Create SFTP access credentials for data providers and assist data providers in submitting data.


Error Logs And Data Validation 

  • (Preparation, Analysis, Feedback to data providers) – Ensure all data providers receive their data error logs on all data submission that passes validation and Poller.
  • Ensure all data providers who are signed on to data validation services receive their validateddata.
  • Ensure DQA (Data Quality Analysis) reports are prepared and shared with data providers.


Data Submission Training For Data Providers

  • Ensure data submission training is organized once each quarter for Rural Banks. Feedback and training materials are recorded and stored.


Reporting On Data Submission And Processing

  • The monthly report will be produced on the 5th of every new month.
  • The quarterly report will be produced on the 5th of every new month.
  • The annual report will be produced on the last working day of January
  • The half yearly report will be produced on the 5th of every new month.
  • Bank Of Ghana Monthly reports to be completed latest by 20th of each month


Required Skills & Personal Attributes:

  • Experience in data analysis and exploration.
  • Must be capable of creating data visualizations and developing dashboards and analytical reports & database management.
  • Strong understanding in business analytics and data analytics.
  • Proficiency in writing SQL scripts.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel & Power BI for data analysis

Experience: 3 years of relevant experience.

Education: First degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Project Management, Business Administration, IT, Computer Science (from specified universities).
