Key Responsibilities
1. Content Development and Editorial Support
- Draft and edit communication materials for internal and external audiences.
- Prepare stories, programme updates, newsletters, briefs, and communication content.
- Support development of presentations, speaking notes, visibility materials, and written outputs.
- Ensure content is accurate, clear, engaging, and aligned with organisational messaging.
2. Brand Visibility and Communications Coordination
- Support implementation of communications plans, campaigns, and visibility activities.
- Ensure communication outputs align with iiAfrica and partner branding requirements.
- Assist with event communication materials, success stories, and promotional content.
- Support consistent communication of programme achievements and institutional updates.
3. Digital and Stakeholder Communications
- Support website updates, social media content, and digital communication activities.
- Help monitor communication outputs and engagement metrics where required.
- Support communication with partners, participants, alumni, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate communication inputs across teams to ensure timely and effective messaging.
4. Documentation of Impact and Activities
- Support documentation of programme activities through stories, interviews, photographs, and impact narratives.
- Contribute to donor visibility requirements and partner communication outputs.
- Help maintain organised archives of communication materials and content assets.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in communications, public relations, media, or digital content development.
Skills:
- Strong writing, editing, and content development skills
- Good understanding of digital communication platforms and stakeholder messaging
- Ability to coordinate multiple communication outputs and deadlines
- Strong attention to brand consistency and presentation
- Good planning and organisational skills
