The FMCG Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing key customer relationships, developing sales strategies, and ensuring the achievement of revenue targets. Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional targets
  • Manage, supervise, and motivate a team of sales representatives
  • Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the team and monitor performance
  • Appoint, manage, and evaluate distributors within the territory
  • Ensure effective distribution coverage and route-to-market execution
  • Drive market penetration and identify new business opportunities
  • Monitor stock levels across distributors and key accounts to avoid stock-outs
  • Oversee in-store execution, merchandising, and promotional campaigns
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to inform decision-making
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor team performance and market conditions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and manage credit within approved limits
  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly sales and performance reports to management

Key Requirements
  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • 3–7+ years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of distributor and retail network management
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Good knowledge of the local market and territory
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently
