KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Execution Oversight
The Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring that all sales activities are conducted with structure and purpose. This includes:
- Monitoring all active deals within the pipeline
- Ensuring that each opportunity has a clear next action
- Enforcing consistent follow-up and engagement with prospects
- Preventing stagnation of deals at any stage
The role requires constant visibility into all ongoing sales activity.
Pipeline Management & Progression
The Sales Manager must maintain a fully active and moving pipeline, ensuring that:
- Opportunities are properly qualified before entering the pipeline
- Deals progress through defined stages without unnecessary delays
- Pipeline value is sufficient to meet revenue targets
This includes identifying:
- Stalled deals • Weak pipeline areas
- Gaps in deal flow and taking immediate corrective action.
Conversion Optimization
A core responsibility of this role is to improve the efficiency of the sales process. This includes:
- Analysing conversion rates at each stage of the funnel
- Identifying points of drop-off
- Implementing strategies to improve closing rates
The Sales Manager must ensure that: Activity translates into measurable revenue outcomes.
Sales Team Management
The Sales Manager is responsible for:
- Setting clear weekly targets for Sales Executives
- Monitoring individual performance
- Providing coaching and guidance where necessary
- Ensuring accountability across the team

Deal Support & Negotiation
The Sales Manager must actively support high-value or complex deals by:
- Assisting with negotiation strategies

Performance Tracking & Reporting
The role must ensure that all sales activity is accurately tracked and reported. This includes:
- Maintaining up-to-date CRM records
- Producing weekly pipeline reports
- Providing clear visibility into revenue performance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 4–8 years in sales or business development
- Proven experience in closing deals and managing pipelines
- Experience leading or supervising sales teams
- Demonstrated ability to improve conversion performance
