Tractor Driver / Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tractors and attached implements (e.g., ploughs, harrows, planters, trailers) for farming or site operations.
• Perform land preparation activities including ploughing, tilling, and leveling.
• Transport materials such as crops, soil, fertilizers, and equipment using tractors and trailers.
• Conduct routine inspections of tractors and equipment before and after use.
• Carry out basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and refueling machinery.
• Identify and report mechanical faults or damage promptly.
• Follow all safety regulations and operational procedures to prevent accidents and equipment damage.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, fuel usage, and maintenance activities.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials when required.
• Work collaboratively with farm managers, supervisors, or site engineers to complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of a high school certificate or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license (tractor or heavy-duty equipment license preferred, depending on local regulations).
• Proven experience operating tractors or similar heavy machinery.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance.
• Good understanding of safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
