Senior DevOps Engineer

What you will do 

• Lead the design, development of reusable automation framework, and implementation of end-to-end automated CI/CD pipelines for the integration and deployment of application and infrastructure resources on cloud.  
• Play an active part in sprint planning, user story writing, and daily scrum calls to ensure development and delivery of the products as outlined in the roadmap.
• Play a key role in technical planning, architecture development, and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments, DevOps, CI/CD, and automation.
• Begin to influence the department's strategy and to align deliverables to achieve IT roadmap.
• Make decisions on moderately complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
• Exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. 

What you will bring 

• 5+ years of experience providing DevOps services and related automation for mission-critical applications and infrastructure at a large organization, with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with Azure or any major public cloud.  
• Experience in migrating and transforming its organization into modern cloud delivery practices 
• 4+ years developing infrastructure as code to configure and deploy various cloud infrastructure resources such as VMs, network components, firewalls, gateways, load-balancers etc..
• Strong understanding of cloud computing and hands-on experience in migrating workloads to Azure.
• Experience building end-to-end automation of CD/CI pipelines using Terraform, PowerShell, ARM, Ansible / Chef to deploy infrastructure and application artefacts to the cloud.
• Solid experience with scripting using PowerShell, Linux Shell, Python or GoLang.
• Experience using YAML for creating manifests, config files etc..
• Experience one or more CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or Bamboo.
• Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or Docker Enterprise. Configuring and deploying applications in a Kubernetes cluster via automated CI/CD pipelines leveraging manifests/helm/ArgoCD etc..
• Application development experience with at least one of the popular languages like Java or C#.
• Experience working with Virtual Machines, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Functions, Azure Automation, App Service, Scale Sets, Azure DevOps, Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, Azure Backup, Azure storage, Application Gateway, Azure DNS, Load Balancer 
• Expertise in creating/updating/maintaining IaC templates and configuration files. 
• Experience building High Availability/Fault-Tolerant Systems 
• Experience working in an Agile SCRUM environment 
• Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills 
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Application Insights, DynaTrace, New Relic, Data Dog. 
• Experience with Windows and Linux platforms Good working knowledge of Azure Policy and understanding of cloud governance 
• Knowledge of security and privacy-related industry standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001/2, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, CSA CCM) 

What we would like to see 

• Certifications: Microsoft Azure Architect and Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator (Preferred). 
• Experience working with Azure Active Directory, Azure networking, Azure IaaS, Azure Serverless, Azure Security, Terraform, ARM, Infrastructure as Code platforms, Azure Automation, Azure DevOps Administration, and management, including Azure PaaS Database, Azure Storage, PowerShell and ARM Templates (Required most, strong preference all).  
• Depth of experience and knowledge in cloud platform technologies such as Amazon's VPC, Elastic Load balancing, Global Accelerator, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, Identity and Access Management IAM, Route 53, Key Management Service (KMS), PrivateLink Direct Connect, Virtual Private Network, CloudFront and API Gateway.
• Strong project management and organizational skills. 
• DevOps certifications.
