Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare nutritious, hygienic, and well-balanced meals for learners and staff.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served on time.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen.
- Properly store food items and monitor stock levels.
- Assist in planning weekly menus.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the school administration to provide quality catering services.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a cook, preferably in a school, restaurant, or catering environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and nutrition.
- Ability to prepare meals for large groups efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Honest, reliable, hardworking, and able to work under pressure.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work in a Christian school environment.
