Job summary
A Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering age-appropriate learning activities that promote the educational, social, emotional, and physical development of young children. The role creates a safe and engaging classroom environment, monitors students' progress, communicates with parents and guardians, maintains classroom discipline, and implements the early childhood curriculum while fostering creativity, curiosity, and foundational learning skills. Fountainhead Christian School is seeking a caring, creative, and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our Early Years team.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that promote children’s cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Foster children’s literacy, numeracy, communication, and creative skills through play-based learning.
- Assess and monitor learners’ progress and maintain accurate records.
- Build positive relationships with parents and provide regular feedback on children’s development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Participate in school programmes, meetings, and professional development activities.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience in a preschool or Early Years setting.
- A valid National Teacher Licensure Certificate is an advantage.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A warm, patient, and caring personality with a genuine love for young children.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
