Affiliated with the Ghana Mathematical Association and the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education in Gambia (MoBSE), Mezzo Maths introduces an innovative and engaging approach to mathematical education. Through simple, friendly, and entertaining methods, the program aims to inspire children to develop a love and passion for mathematics. The organization is dedicated to transforming how math is learned and appreciated by students.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Accra for a Maths Tutor position at Mezzo House Limited. The Maths Tutor will work closely with students, providing engaging and interactive lessons that foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of mathematics. Key responsibilities include planning and delivering comprehensive lessons, providing one-on-one support through tutoring, and leveraging creative teaching strategies to make mathematical concepts accessible. Tutors will also prepare and assess educational materials to monitor each student’s progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Qualifications
- Mathematics proficiency, with a strong understanding of Algebra and fundamental math concepts
- Experience in Tutoring and Online Tutoring, including the ability to customize lessons based on individual learning needs
- Strong Communication skills for clear instruction and effective feedback
- Dedication to fostering a positive and motivating learning environment for students
- Experience working with children and a passion for teaching
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of modern teaching tools and techniques is a plus
